This etching is part of a compelling series of twenty originals, each meticulously 'pulled' by the hands of the artist.  The overarching theme of the series is 'relative truth - modern man's dilemma.

The composition contains a number of pleasures which man often mistakes as ultimate ends within themselves for the answer to life - Truth.  Solomon called this vanity. Some vanities appearing in the print are fashion, money, cars, sports, schooling/knowledge, music, sex outside of scriptural boundaries, a playboy philosophy, "bar hopping," hero-worship/ideology, and even Christ when taken out of the pages of Sacred Writ. These vanities form or make up the real personage of Truth - Jesus Christ.

Once, when exhibiting my proof (artist’s), I took notice of a professor who continued to look at the print for a rather lengthy period of time. I called him by name and asked what he thought of it. He replied, “There’s got to be something I’m missing.” I responded, “Yes, Dr. ______________, and you’ve missed Him all your life.”      

Like much of the world, this professor missed the Truth—Jesus Christ. As is so often the case, HE, who is so simply evident, is so often overlooked.
